My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching is interconnected with life long learning and doing research to inform me on the best language teaching practices. This allows me to base my teaching on the principles of student-centered learning, development of students' critical and creative thinking, and promoting L2 learners' engagement. I'm a huge proponent of task-based language teaching (TBLT) which combines the best second language acquisition (SLA) practices and ensures transferability of gained skills. Plus, I am eager to experiment with various technological tools to enhance collaboration between students along with learning-oriented assessment.
